Create a fundraising/sponsorship campaign to facilitate partnerships between community members and local businesses. Community members can register as “steppers,” who will then request that individuals and/or business “sponsor” them. Depending on defined metrics/goals, each dollar amount raised/sponsorship gained will equal a specific amount of steps.
Once the campaign ends, host a “Step It Up RVA” event at a local track venue (high school/college?) where steppers can be given pedometers and complete the total number of steps required by the campaign. Total number of steps can either be pooled together or completed individually.
